New Products:

Winter Grapefruit Handmade Vegan Soap:

Juniper and Grapefruit essential oils have long been used in spa detox programs. Enjoy this crisply innovative blend of Fresh Grapefruit, Juniper, and Italian Lemon. It smells just like fresh grapefruit whirled up in a blender with a spring of pine needle and a handful of red currents. Winter Grapefruit is fresh, delighting to the senses.

This bar has layers of creamy yellow and mauve layers. The mauve layers contain pink jojoba beads for exfoliation. The top is sprinkled with mauve chunks of soap and pink jojoba beads.

Dead Sea Salt Scrub:

My salt scrubs contain a wonderfully moisturizing blend of dead sea salt and oils that will leave your skin healthy and soft!!

Rubbing your skin with a good salt scrub, full of minerals essential for a healthy body, allows the texture of the scrub paste to exfoliate and polish the skin, leaving it clean and refreshed.

How Does Salt Scrub Benefit Your Skin?

Exfoliates dead skin cells - The salt rubs away the layer of dead skin cells to reveal a younger skin layer.

Cleans your pores- As the salt gently abrades your skin, it picks up oils and dirt from your pores.
Stimulates blood circulation- The gentle abrasion stimulates blood flow to the area.
Removes toxins- Those toxins released through your skin are removed when you wash off the salt.

Strengthens and firms skin tissues-Keeping your skin looking younger and feeling healthier

Many great scents to choose from....

Woo Hoo It's Finally Done

I have finally completed my new site. I will have to tweek a few things here and there but so far I love the way the site turned out. The design is vibrant and colorful. The site is easy to navigate and customers have many payment options. I hope that everyone likes it. I would love to hear your feedback. I am also starting a monthly newsletter. Customers will be updated on new products, upcoming specials, and receive monthly coupons. If you would like to sign up for the newsletter you can email me at silvia@svsoaps.com.

New Products this Month....

Black Licorice Handmade Vegan Soap
This sweet smelling essential oil smells just like black licorice. This is a wonderful soap for both Men and Women. Not only is this soap ideal for black licorice lovers, scientific research has shown that the scent of black licorice can increase arousal in men and women. Even those who aren't crazy about black licorice flavor find these sensuous suds irresistible. ( I used it in the shower this morning and I loved it. The smell is so refreshing and I love the exfoliation that the apricot meal and ground fennel seeds add).

Brown Sugar Scrubs
My sugar scrubs contain a wonderfully moisturizing blend of sugars and oils that will leave your skin healthy and soft!! Using a sugar scrub is good for keeping skin healthy and soft. It is important to exfoliate skin, especially in dry and cold weather when the body easily loses moisture. ( I love this sugar scrub. It leaves your skin super soft)

To Scrub or Not to Scrub? I personally say Scrub.....

How Does Sugar Scrub Work?
The rough texture of the sugar peels away the dry and dead skin cells on the surface layer of the skin, revealing the smooth and healthy skin underneath. The moisturizing ingredients in most sugar scrubs is an added benefit that helps retain moisture, keeping skin soft and hydrated. This process of exfoliating keeps skin healthy and supple.

New Online Store

Just let me start by saying that I love Etsy!!! They have been good to me the last few years. I will not be leaving Etsy but I am trying to expand so I have started my own online store for my soaps and other goodies. I am so excited about my new store. If you would like to check it out you can go to http://www.svsoaps.com/ But please remember it is still a work in progress. My site should be up and running by the end of the month.

I will be adding so many new goodies in the upcoming months such as Whipped Body Butters, Cream Soaps, Soy Candles, Mens Products, Sugar and Salt Scrubs. Coming in February will be sugar and salt scrubs...

I have also added some new soaps in the last two weeks. New to my shop are...

Almond: A very real smelling almond - smooth and crisp. This scent is wonderful for both men and women.

Malachite: This scent is complex, layered, and inviting. This is a floral scent with key notes of Water Hyacinth, Imperial Peony, and Sandalwood.

Red Apple: This scent is actually a blend of a few varieties of Red Apple scents, along with some notes of Green Apple to temper the sweetness. The Green Apple notes add some wonderful depth and tartness to the scent.

Stay tuned for all the new and exciting upcoming products.....

The Upcoming New Year

Hi Everyone. It has been hectic the last few months with the new addition that has been added to our little family. We had a little boy on October 8, 2008. We now have two adorable sons. It has been wonderful but it has taken a little getting used to having a baby again. I am finally working out a schedule and starting to get things done again.

I have just added Pomegranate Black Currant to my soap line. It smells wonderful. I also added Gingersnap Pumpkin (also wonderful). I will be adding quite a few new scents to my soap line in the upcoming weeks such as Almond, Ginger Orange, Red Apple, and Winter Grapefruit.

Pomegranate Black Currant: This fragrance is based on a delicious juice that is found at many health food stores. This blend has tart Pomegranate notes, enlivened by citrus zest and intertwined with juicy Black Currant notes with just some light hints of soft florals and leafy greens to give the fragrance depth. It is a surprisingly sweet blend, almost as if the Pomegranates and Black Currants were sugared prior to blending.

Pumpkin Gingersnap: My Gingersnap Pumpkin soap will surround you in the comforting autumn scents of cinnamon, clove, cardamom and nutmeg wound around a delicious bottom of sweet vanilla and honey and brown sugar with an extra spark of Caraway Seed, to warm up and complement the spices.

Stay tuned for upcoming soaps....

I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe New Year!!!

Fall is officially here!!! Fall is one of my favorite seasons. I love how the leaves change colors and the air grows crisp. On top of the fact that I love all of the fall scents.

I started making my fall soaps in August and have had a hard time keeping them on the shelf. Which makes me even more excited.

Pumpkin Spice: Like a visit to grandma's house at Thanksgiving, this Pumpkin Spice soap will surround you in the comforting autumn scents of cinnamon, clove, cardamom and nutmeg wound around a delicious bottom of sweet vanilla and honey and brown sugar.

Pumpkin Souffle: The delightful aroma of pumpkin mixed with creamy vanilla custard pudding and drenched with a creamy buttery caramel sauce, with a hint of cinnamon and spices!

Apple Jack and Peel: This smells just like the yummiest apple you have ever had the privilege of eating and then some. It has hot and spicy top notes of cinnamon and cloves rounding down to the mellow scent of red apples. Men love this one! It is especially popular during the fall and winter months when all anyone wants to do is cuddle up in front of the fire!

I will also be adding a few others in the coming weeks that I am sooooo excited about. They look as delicious as they smell and I can't wait to share them.

Coming Soon....

Cranberry Fig: An excellent compromise between the tart bite of Cranberries and the sweet, mild allure of Fig. Cranberries and Figs are made even more striking by adding a smattering of Blood Orange and Pink Grapefruit notes to the mix. (One of my new favs)

Almond Biscotti: This fragrance is positively edible! It is an amazing compilation of all things good, edible and coffee time! With a mixture of toasted almonds, sweet cake flour and drizzled chocolate, this fragrance will have you drooling and wanting to eat pastries! (Also one of my new favs)

Can you tell I am completely soap obsessed?

Finally Coming Together

My new shop is finally starting to come together. I have been working on it all week. It is still not exactly were I would like it to be but I am thrilled that it has come so far. I posted some new soap listings and will have more to post next week. I am going to be adding Cocoa Mango soap and Oatmeal Milk and Honey soap in the next few days. I love the way they turned out. Here is a picture of the Cocoa Mango soap. The bottom half is a dark chocolate color and the top half is a swirl of chocolate and mango. It smells so delicious...

Venting!

I have recently embarked on separating my Etsy shop into two shops. I thought it would be just as easy to have two shops as it would one. Boy was I mistaken. Maybe it is because I am 25 weeks pregnant and have Gestational Diabetes. Who knows... But it has been harder than I thought it would be. I have been trying to re-do some of my soaps photos for the new shop. Nothing is coming out the way I would like it to. I know I can be a little picky at times. I think once I get all of my initial soaps moved over to the new shop it will not be so difficult. Okay, that's enough whining from me.

I have made quite a few batches of soap in the last week. I really like the way the swirl came out of my Love Spell soap.
